You Can Community Club is offering all Staff and Volunteers the opportunity to take part in some core training in First Aid and Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults. If any staff or volunteers haven’t booked on to their training yet the details are:
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
DATE: Wednesday 30th May 2018
TIME: 09:30 to 16:30 (9.30am to 4.30pm)
VENUE: The Beacon Centre
* The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
SAFEGUARDING AWARENESS FOR CHILDREN & VULNERABLE ADULTS
DATE: Tuesday 19th June 2018
TIME: 18:00 to 21:00 (6pm to 9pm)
VENUE: The Beacon Centre
* This course is about raising awareness of the abuse of children and vulnerable adults and the reporting and monitoring of it. It will look at legislation and agreed ways of working, definitions of abuse, the possible indicators, how to report and exploring potential barriers to reporting.
